Electrical Designer / Drafter

Job Description:

FSLA Status: Exempt

This position will be responsible for:

• Detailing new electrical engineering design and revisions for machinery produced or supported by the company
• Drafting, editing and supporting bills of materials, electrical drawings within the requirements and expectations set by the company
• Creating, modifying and printing wire markers and labels as required by electrical schematics.
• AutoCAD Electrical automation detailing and support
• Assisting Engineers and Service technicians during installation, debug and commissioning of machinery or upgrades

Qualifcations:

• Experienced in AutoCAD Electrical design software including large electrical panel layout.
• Able to create clear and functional electrical designs that will meet the engineered requirements, quality, cost, and delivery needs of the end customer.
• Familiar with variable-frequency AC drives
• Familiar with safety controller, e-stop, and burner control circuits
• Familiar with PLC controls and applications (GE and/or Allen Bradley).
• Able to support Electrical Engineers and work in a team environment
• Able to follow electrical codes and safety standards for both USA and European markets

Education & Training:

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technology or 5+ years of experience
• Related experience in similar industry
• Ability to demonstrate the use of following software packages: MS Office, AutoCAD Electrical
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., ability to stand, kneel, sit and bend for long periods of time
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
