When you lean your motorcycle to the right or left in a turn, the design holds the ball in the vertical position by allowing the base of the hitch to move in the opposite direction of the bike without causing your trailer to bind - as it could possibly do with a conventional ball hitch. Feedback: Unit looks well made. The design incorporates nylon washers as the bolt is designed to remain loosely tight so the ball can pivot. Problem is ball falls to one side making hook up of trailer a pain, especially if the ball has grease on it from the trailer latch. I installed two thin metal washers to the inside of between the bracket and the ball shaft and eliminated the nylon washers. Tightened the bolt just tight enough to allow the ball to stand up strait on its own, yet move freely with a slight amount of pressure. Worked like a charm.
